After a quick google for “car badge with three acorns”, it seems to be an Oldsmobile. No idea what sort.

Looks to me like an Oldsmobile Model F from the late 20's or early 30's . I don’t have a keen enough eye to give the exact designation (F28/F29/F30, etc).

Seeing how new the garage looks I am guessing it belongs to a maintenance person or someone else who works there who has regular access to the garage.

One might think. But usually there are two cars that look like student cars parking in there. That house is the envy of many students because it’s the only one with a garage.
